Where does that voice come from? Where does that practically audible influence and source of inspiration that urges people to demonstrate value and establish dominance by unnecessarily inserting themselves into everything they perceive actually stem from?
There’s a stupid, greedy, cowardly, intrusive little voice in every person’s head telling them to be the center of attention — to make everything they see, hear, read or experience about them and how they’re affected by it. This stupid greedy voice is always interrupting thought patterns and processes, and disrupting the intake of information. Most people can’t read a single paragraph or headline, or listen to other people’s experiences without forming and then forcibly inserting their opinions into things, prior to gaining understanding for the very things they’re eager to share their thoughts and views on…
Even now, most of you reading this post find yourselves at the ready, just waiting to insert your opinions and/or factoids you’ve picked up through the years, before you even know what the post is about…
Why is this stupid little voice always screaming “Feed me! Feed me with attention, recognition, praise, satisfaction, comforts, opportunities, esteem and feelings of worth!” and then trembling before, and attacking or retreating from things that could potentially divert attention away from it (thereby decreasing one’s ability to consume)?
This voice causes people to assign value to things based on their preferences, likes and dislikes, and not based on objective valuation, reasoning or the pursuit of understanding. It tells people to equate truth and reality with what they believe (that is, information gathered through exposure or experience) and then punishes people with cognitive dissonance whenever reality conflicts with its own sense of authority…
So what exactly is this voice? Or perhaps a better question is, can you distinguish its thoughts and values from your own thoughts, values and ideas? Do you by chance believe all thoughts in your head come from the same source, and are products of the same mental processes?
Let’s explore this a bit…
Question: Is this voice [I’m referring to] a product of people’s own unique thought processes? No, it absolutely is not. How can we know this? Because the majority of the human species is affected by it. That means that there’s a perspective and/or a way of viewing and processing information and reality that transcends the individual experience and experiential vantage point. So does that mean the voice is inherent to human reasoning? No, it most certainly doesn’t. How can we know this? Because not every person listens to or operates under the influence of the voice…
Individuals who either don’t or can’t separate their own thinking and values from those of the stupid, greedy, cowardly, intrusive little voice in their minds tend to think and behave stupidly, greedily, cowardly and intrusively towards others, and external values in general; primarily information or ideas that undermine their own beliefs, and subsequent feelings of righteousness. Those who are either immune to, or simply choose not to listen to and nurture that stupid voice in their heads tend to think more clearly, objectively, empathetically, compassionately and rationally. Their information intake and thoughts are not constantly being interrupted by this (arguably) parasitic voice in their minds, always telling them to demonstrate value and worth — to ‘prove how much they matter’ to others, at every given juncture, so as to increase their chances for inclusion, rewards, comforts, freedoms and satisfaction. Parasites (especially virion) equate increasing value with increasing consumption.
This indicates that the stupid, greedy, intrusive little asshole voice is not inherently human. So where does the voice come from?
In a word, (at least, based on what I’m able to see) that voice is the ego parasite — the source of perception and/or perceptive valuation, and the instrument through which the hive mind manifests.
If you can’t distinguish its thoughts from your own thinking, then chances are you think and behave like it — that is, you think and behave like a parasite.
