When we hear the word “feminism” the first thing that comes to our mind is “equality”and “liberty”. It gives us an idea about the fact that women should be given same social and economical worth as that men have and they should be given the provided with similar opportunities to flourish and groom within a society.
But within just a period of decade the misuse of this term has accelerated, Yes misuse! Today this term has lost its original meaning and it’s true sense is being molded for personal benefit.
No doubt without feminism no society can thrive or even survive if more than half of its population thinks that they are oppressed and other half thinks that they are superior to them. Its clear that women are to enjoy equal rights and payed similar wages when working under similar terms and conditions. They mustn’t be considered as second class citizens. There should be mutual respect in the society. But today there is misconception about this and feminism is more of sexism these days.
“FEMINISM ISN’T A CHOICE IT’S AN ATTITUDE“If you’re a feminist and you agree with whatever’s said then kindly don’t tell, your work will show it and you character and personality will shine it.”MEN AREN’T ENEMIES AND WOMEN AREN’T WEAK“They can defend their rights as much as men can.
We must foster awareness about this growing concern. Too much of pro-feminist attitude encourages a war between sexes and invest misogyny in opposite sex.So no good can come out of it.
When a girl’s attitude is directed primarily towards her having her equal rights then there is less time for her to pursue her interests and develop the skills that are actual source of self-esteem for her.Encouraged to act immodestly, she exposes her vulnerability and becomes in fact, the weaker sex.
No doubt today we are living in a society where women are still not able to obtain basic human rights. You wanna empower women, educate them, counsel them. Tell them how important it is for them to have serious approach towards life, health, studies, choices. Their priorities should not only to be wed off but to contribute positively to society in whatever way it’s possible. The strength and dignity of women lies not only in working or doing daily labor like men but doing what she finds her heart in. A sole woman running a successful business is worthy of a lot of respect and the same time staying at home and caring for one’s children is noble and worthwhile endeavor. It’s neither being oppressed nor it is any less respectful.
